Ok guys......this may be a dumb question, but here goes.......Years ago when I shot 3d, I used a release that had a rope on it. we didn't use d-loops back then, we just wrapped the release rope around the string. Now, most people use a d-loop. Will that type of release work with the d-loop ?........Rick

Hello,
I just got a Stan Super X thumb trigger. It comes with a rope on it. First thing I did was took it off. I have a d-loop and shoot it off that. My gosh the difference is unbelievable. Much tighter group's and more confidence in anchor and shooting. Thanks to the release and Nut's and Bolt's.

stay with the string

I shoot both 3-4 finger releases and also hunting style and use the string like you have on both. They are easier to adjust and less to maintain. You will not get any less of groups. I think they are much more predictable as well as to when they are too worn out.

It's been a long while since I've had one of these releases. If you take the rope off of the release, how does the release attach to the d-loop ? Also, since that type of release doesn't have a rotating head, wouldn't that torque the d-loop ?.............Rick

It's been a long while since I've had one of these releases. If you take the rope off of the release, how does the release attach to the d-loop ? Easy, it hooks onto the same little hook that holds the rope.

Also, since that type of release doesn't have a rotating head, wouldn't that torque the d-loop ? That is what a loop is for. It's OK to torque the loop a bit, just not the bowstring.
