Went out yesterday and took a shot at a decent doe. Went in right behind the left shoulder, and my arrow broke off in her diaphragm. Ran for 10 yards, stopped for 5 seconds, then ran another 15-20 yards and dropped in her tracks. First deer of the year and second with my bow ever.
I was in the exact same tree, she was eating the exact same plant, came in on the exact same trail as a six pointer I missed last Sunday. The only thing different was I took down the branch that I had to aim around, I shot right over his back.
Happy now, have some good meat in the freezer and gonna start making some jerky, sausages, steaks and burgers.
I was shooting 3 Blade Bloodrunners w/ my PSE Thunderbolt 70lb.
