Anybody using this target ? How life size is the depiction of the deer vitals.

How does the target hold up... shooting field points only

The deer vitals are more like the size of a large rabbit. Nowhere near life size. It will hold up a long time with field points. Broadheads ate up the cores really quickly for me, but the rest of the target lasted me a few years with lots of shooting.

The deer vitals area isn’t overly realistic. However , I will say it’s a durable target. I would purchase it again. I shoot mine with broadheads often which does tear it up. But field points wouldn’t be a problem. I’ve had mine for 4 years

I've had one for several years and only replaced the core once. A few bh shot into it but mainly field points. I think its the one of the best "cube" targets out there. As already mentioned the deer vitals are not to scale. I would say its about half the size of a medium size deer.

if you don’t mind spending your money for that target then get it. it’s a very good target and will last a long time, especially if your going to only be using field tips. as far as the vitals its not to scale but i guess it’s better than just shooting at spots.

I have one of the Rhinoblock XLs from before they added the replaceable inserts and vitals section (or maybe it's the one that @bigbucks170 mentioned)

It is still kicking and I've had it 4 years now, I think. Broadheads eat it up fast but unless you're shooting thousands of fieldpoint arrows a week at point blank range, it is going to last a good while.

I bought mine on clearance at LAS and it is easily the best money I've spent on a foam target.

You can still shoot all 6 sides. They just intend the insert to be used for broadheads and the other sides for field points.

Even if it were a cube you'd still end up blowing through each side faster once the two were shot up since they all go through the center of it. It also isn't the same width each way (not a true cube) so the insert goes through the longer portion.

I also have a Rhinoblock with insert and 'mini-deer' vitals. Never shot a BH into it because it is my basement for initial bare shaft tuning and a little bad weather form work. I don't recall how long I've owed it, but years and it is going strong for my fairly limited use.

It'll last a long time if you only use it with field points. I bought it for broadhead shooting and was disappointed in how fast the core shot out (went through 2 cores in 2 years). I got a Blob after that and it's going strong on it's 3rd year now. The Blob is NOT good for field points out of a high power bow, however. Hard to pull them out.

You guys that like Rinehart targets, make sure to keep an eye on their outlet section when you need to buy one. I keep an 18-1 around just for broadheads and carrying on hunt trips. At $135 you can't beat it.

I have been shooting an Evolution Outdoors practice head into my 365 target lately though and it's been holding up fine so far.
