Looking to see what you all think is the best rubber hunting boots
Warmest best traction and most durable long lasting
I have lacrosse alphaburly 800's, muck woody max ( I think that's the model) , and banded gear 1200's................my lacrosse are about 20 yrs old.......zero leaks......mucks are the lightest, most comfortable and bandeds are the heaviest.......I wouldn't wear any of those in the cold weather on stand, expecting to keep my feet warm..........as for traction and durability.............lacrosse wins hands down to me

I really like my dryshod NOSHO ultra boots for cold weather. I just bought a pair of TideWe boots for early season, and liking them a lot so far. The foot cushioning is fantastic. I hope they hold up well.

I like the ones I bought at the Farm and Home store with a different name then muck but if you investigae they are made by mucks for 1/3rd the cost.
I have a funny foot so the Alpah Burly's I bought I could not get off my feet after getting them on, my feet swell up, Never tie my running shoes, by the time I have ran a mile they are snug...great for tri tansitions

i'm trying to figure out what i'm missing..........do they use some different type of rubber?.......both look like they are just handmade, can't see what defines them as the best on the market
Boots from Lacrosse, muck, dryshod are rubber obviously, but use a small % of actual rubber. It's mixed in with other ingredients that dramatically shorten the lifespan of rubber. Both Gum and Le are 80%+ rubber. Objectively theyll last far longer than any pair of cheaper boots. Subjectively I find my Gumleafs far more comfortable than my Alphaburlys. Far more soft, pillowy feel. And tighter fitting around the foot.

ok, gotcha....makes sense

Lacrosse aeroheads and Lacrosse alpha burley when it gets super cold
Had my alpha burley for a long time and other than some fading they are good as new
In my opinion, Salomon hunting boots are undoubtedly the top choice. These high-quality leather boots feature a rubber sole and a protective rubber toe, making them ideal for hunting. Not only are they warm and water-resistant, but they also provide excellent durability and protection. All depends on your foot lol, arch style, width, personal tolerance for the cold. Just try a few different brands and see what is most comfortable. Arch support can always be added later but width is a big one for me. I’ve had good luck with Lacrosse but Irish Setters have been my favorite for years now. I have pair of uninsulated Cabelas boots for early season, a pair of Lacrosse Alfa Burly 800 gm for mid season when it starts getting colder and a pair of Irish setters with 1200 gm for the late season cold.

thanks for bring up a 3 year old dead thread on "rubber" boots with the link to your blog, aka clicks for money, "leather" boot review

DryShod is by far the best rubber boot now.

Lacrosse and Muck are junk now… they all fall apart after a season.

Old thread but I agree with you on Dryshod and mucks. First pair of mucks I bought were great so I bought the same model again and quality went downhill……sole separated from the boot. I bought another pair at a discount and I find the boot to be too sold and pliable and not doing a good job of keeping your foot in place on hillsides.

Dryshods may be a bit heavier but the pair I have has held up well.
