Hey guys new to the hood and looking for some opinions from the hoyt faithful. Currently have an rx7 looking to upgrade to either the rx9 or ax2. Shot the 9, ax2 and lift x. The lift x is a nice bow but the draw cycle and valley is awful. Both hoyts felt way nicer to me. I'm having a tough time deciding. Like the feel of carbon but the geo a little better on the ax2. What are your guys feelings thay have shot them already? Thanks ahead of time for any of your opinions.

Like you said, carbon has its own unique feel, that if you like it, it's hard to go back to aluminum. A lot of people bag on Hoyt Carbon because of the weight, but we're only talking a few ounces.

You didn't state your draw length, but I would look to the one that you can be at the top of the mod to get the most performance out of the cam.

Me, I would go carbon but I wouldn't pay what they want for the 9 and would get an 8 at discount. Which is what I just did the other day! Best of luck with whichever you choose. Really can't go wrong IMHO.

I shot them both at the shop and while I didn’t notice a huge difference in them I actually preferred the AX2 32. I have a 31” draw and to me it felt better and I actually really liked the string angle. I may end up selling my Alpha X 33 and finding a 9ultra as well but the AX2 is by far my favorite now in the past couple years

I have a 30.5" draw and I spent a fair amount of time going between the AX2 32 and RX9 and this is after deciding on going with Hoyt. While I felt a small difference between the two and this will be my first Hoyt, for me the gap in price did not justify the difference I felt, so I went with the AX2 32. Still waiting on it, it's only been four weeks, but have a feeling I'll definitely have some fun with this bow!
