Looking at getting a short ata now after shooting a neighbors Sanlida X8 & X9 bows he has had all year. I was super surprised at how well these shot. Very quiet, barely any vibe, great draw cycle and decent speed. Grip is nice. I was stunned at these bows for $200 approximately.
I was looking at hsrtimg something to replace a bear instinct. For the money I'm blown away at the quality of Sanlida. Anyone have one ?

I have been looking at these bows as well. I have a Topoint target sight that is actually really nice. These companies have looked at what is being produced ad in some ways refined things and made them affordable for the average person.

I find it funny when folks sputter an spit about the Chinese companies while typing on a computer that was not made in the USA and they drive a car or truck with a Bunch of parts made elsewhere.

cue posts about folks saying it will blow up in to it face

Truthfully, it’s good enough to get the job done, maybe better than USA entry level bows at the same price point. However, I’d want to see some long term reviews on them before jumping versus getting a used flagship from a “normal manufacturer”.

Those bow parts are probably rolling out of a massive factory making everything from car parts to blenders. At those economies of scale you can cut costs significantly without necessarily cutting back on quality. The catch as always being you don’t know where they are just “out manufacturing us”, being fine with a thinner profit margin or cutting corners on quality in meaningful ways.

That looks like a PSE Whitetail , 310fps IBO some one on here bought one and did a review and was surprisingly surprised on how well it shot.

I would buy something from China aka Buick Envision before I would anything from Japan aka Toyota/Nissan/Honda who killed or wounded 400,000 USA Soldiers , least we forget...

fyi: Toyota just got hit with a big fine for one of their subsidaries falsifying safety issues on their vehicles and Honda refuses to post recalls

I recently bought a Sanlida Hero x8 because the physical weight of the bow and a few online reports guided my decision. It looked great in the box when it came from Hong Kong but the first thing I noticed was that the peep was installed exactly opposite to the direction of the D loop. Well, I figured that we all have to adjust our peep anyway so (even though there's a quality inspection card in the carton) that didn't overly bother me. Imagine my horror though when I removed the bow from the carton and found a machining flaw on the lower cam (the area of bright raw metal contrasts overwhelmingly against the black painted cam) - and remember the 'enclosed quality inspection card'. Well, it still shoots OK but when I reported this to the Sanlida contact line I just got the returns policy stuff and they were very happy for me when I told them that I had a US made bow that I could use anyway! Well, that's my story of woe. I still stick by all of my other trusty Chinese archery products like my beautiful Junxing ILF recurve bow, Topoint sights etc.

YouTube is loaded with videos. They have a hoyt style bow as well. From what I've seen the bows are solid. And they take care of you if there an issue. Personally I would go with a bass pro/ cabelas brand if I was needing dirt cheap that will get it done.

If you've shot one and liked it , why haven't you ordered it yet?
