Took my Boykin and my .28ga for a ride to a friends farm to shoot some doves just awhile ago. His farm and the neighbors are all soy bean this year, not many doves. In one field about 200yds off I saw one of the largest racked bucks I've ever seen:mg: . Wind was blowing his way and he ran off. Saw what I thought was a 4 whlr trail across the bean field. It was a very well worn deer highway. Found the perfect spot for my DB Matrix

My Son and I went back late this afternoon, shot a few doves. On the way out we saw a very nice 10pt followed by a very wide 6pt.. He looked like an older deer and his rack was on the decline. Both were w/o velvet, first I've seen in this area that way.
