The SCAT releases do what they promise to do. They are well built.
That said I'll let you know that I do not use mine. They are not a replacement for back tension. They are not a silver bullet. If you try one and it works for you, go for it. I'm much happier now that I have a Carter Solution 2.5 and am learning proper back tension.
