I have a Scott Little Bitty Goose release and have had some problems with my loop sliping through the jaws. It is a newer loop and not worn. Has anyone else had this problem?

I was thinking about trying the scott wildcat, carter quickie, or a truball. Any recommendations guys? Mostly hunting here.

Thanks,

Jacob

me too

I have had the same problem with the same release. Little bitty goose is still the release i shoot too. Had the problem when my loop was made of the soft 100% specta. There is lots of different loop materials available... the tigher or stiffer braided cord works best with the Goose.

I have also served 5/16 to 3/8" of the back of my loop to stop the problem with BCY-2S when I used the soft 100% spectra cord ... works great.

Good shooting to you, Corky

I've got 3 of them and the last one I got did just that, the loop slipping through the jaws. Just send it back to Scott and they'll take care of it for ya. Great customer service.

Customer Service

Just got off the phone with them. They told me to mail it to them and they would fix it right up.

Just an FYI: I emailed them 4 days ago and never heard back. I called them on the phone and they got right on it. If you have a problem avoid the email route.

I will keep everyone updated with the new repairs since this does not seem like an isolated issue with this release.

same thing

happened to my buddy right before he took off to hunt. Didnt have time to have it fixed, so I just tied on a loop made of larger material. Now hes gonna send it in since he just got back.

I gave up on the little bity goose

I used one exclusively for about 3 years until at a 3-d shoot it let go at about 3\4 draw-took a zero on that target. Scott replaced it no hassle. Six months later at a 3-d the second one did the same thing-this time I punched myself in the face when it failed. Again took a zero and a sore cheek. No more little bity goose's for me. Sure would stink if it happened on that elk of a lifetime:cry:

Now I'm shooting a tru-ball and loving it.

Tension

No, it is not a tension problem. I do not have it set real light. You can actually see a fair size gap between the jaws, unlike my other scott releases. I have used it for a few years so it is probably worn. Scott should rebuild it and it will be good as new.

Sent it in to Scott for repairs last Fridat. I did buy a Scott Wildcat and a Carter Quickie 2 to try in the meantime. I might have a little goose for sale soon:)
