So this is a brief review for the Sevr 2.0. I have used this since last year and last night I put down my fourth deer with them since last September.
I’m very happy over all. All 4 shots have fully deployed on entry and passed clean through. On two kills including the one last night the blades pivoted on the exit resulting in a smaller exit hole. Both were still at least 1 inch holes. I have not encountered any bone except ribs so I can’t comment on that. I’m fairly confident my setup would have no trouble smashing through the flat of a scapula.
I’ve had plenty of blood, but as always this is from shot placement not broadhead design primarily.
What’s probably most impressive is that the heads look great even after hitting and burying in the dirt. I still replace the blades per Sevr’s instructions, but the ferrules look great.
For anyone wondering, here’s my set up:
Mathews Traverse
70lbs
30” mods
Victory VForce Elite 300 spine
28.25 carbon to carbon
75 grain Easton brass insert
Hard helical with 3 Blazers
125 grain Sevr 2.0
500 grain total weight
17.6 % FOC
