Has anyone here personally shot an Elk with the SEVR 1.5? I am looking at switching broadheads and they have caught me eye.

You just opened a can of worms. You are going to have a pile of people speak up and tell you not to use a mech and probably only half have hunted elk. I have not used one but know people who do yearly with no issues. It really depends on your specs.

I’ve killed 2 bulls with 1.5” Sevr and 2 with the previous Ulmer Edge version. All four were dead in less than 100 yds. Fly perfect and penetrate very well
