Does anyone have experience with this rest? It looks like a great rest for elk hunting.

The high quality proven rests out there right now all started just like this at one time or another, brand new. Not saying it will make it to a proven rest, but I won't discount it for being new. I like the way it holds the arrow. Don't know that I would leave my Pro V for it though.

I have the XV rest (as do a lot of my friends) and we all love it (of course we are local to Schaffer and he is located in Burnsville, MN). The nice thing about them is the way it holds the arrow / true containment, and it takes away any fletching clearance issues. The only complaint I have heard is people are worried about the exposed tracks and if stuff can get in there, like small twigs or freezing rain, etc..but no one has every experienced issues, just assumptions. Plus the owner has had some pretty impressive hunts with it in bad climates and had zero issues.

I am probably going to put one on the Triax I ordered last week. I have heard nothing but good things about it and reading above helps solidify my choice. I will admit being from MN myself I am partial to local companies. Back in 2002-2003, I shot league at Schaffer archery when I lived down that way and it was a nice well run shop with great people.

I just got one about a month ago and am waiting on my Stealth to arrive so I can give it a try. I know John and he puts out great products. I have a good friend who lives right by his shop, and he recommends his products as well. Really good design and after having my Ripcord freeze up last year elk hunting, I'm going to try a few other rests to find one that I won't have issues with in those situations. John said there is nothing in the rest for water to stand, pool and freeze, so the rest should not freeze up like some others might. I'm hoping he is right and will test it myself once we get some good freezing temps locally.

Just checked out the video on this. Pretty sweet!
Thinking of a new test after season is over this year. Right now I have the Mathews drop away on my Halon and there are a few things I haven’t liked about it; bumping the drop down on accident or arrow coming out of containment when walking with bow.
Will have to keep this on the radar.

I wish most rest manufacturer companies would offer their rest in limb driven and cable driven...I wonder how much different the design and engineering would be?
