Went to my hunting buddy's house this weekend so we could ride down to the Buckmasters show in Greensboro, N.C. He had a Bowtech Allegiance in his shop that needed a new center serving installed, so we got it fixed up, and I gave it a whirl out on the target range. The draw was a little too long for me, but not bad enough that I couldn't shoot it a little. This was the first Bowtech that I have shot, and I was impressed with it right away. Even though I was fighting a draw length that was a little long, I still shot it well right from the first few arrows. The draw cycle was a little different that I am used too in the Hoyts, especially right in the first few inches of string travel, but I got used to it pretty quickly. And it was fast. We measured the draw weight on a digital scale, and it was set at 62 lbs. At 62 lbs, with a draw length I'm guessing was about 29", it was flat spitting out the arrow!! I don't know what arrow weight the guy was using, but it was traveling:D Does anyone know right offhand what the IBO rating on the Allegiance is? It's gotta be pretty quick.
All in all, a great feeling and shooting bow. I'm not intending on giving up my Hoyts anytime soon:D, but I sure wouldn't worry about a deer getting away from me if I had that Allegiance either.

I am not real knowledgable on the Bowtech specs, but I think the IBO on the Allegiance is around 330fps.

I shot both the tribute and the allegiance earlier this year.......I felt both bows were exceptional in quality and feel. It sems like most folks like the tribute better, but if I were buying one, I would go with the allegiance myself.
