off topic, sorry, but here's an option i really like

ultra high molecular weight tape


it's kind of a tape version of the dyneema used in bow strings and quiets the arrow down but doesn't wear down hardly at all compared to felt or rubber and is also very thin

i put a new piece on every year or so

periodically, i'll smear a little bow string wax on it that i've warmed up by rubbing between my fingers, kind of a pre-hunt ritual, this takes it from quiet to silent (also keeping my arrows clean helps with noise too)
