I’ve been shooting an HHA Optimizer for the past ten years. Just ordered a new Hoyt RX7 and looking to add a new sight. Any recommendations on a single pin sight comparable or better than HHA or is HHA the one to stay with?

Thanks

HHA Tetra Ryz or Max Ryz are very popular options right now. They have all the modern functionality of sights like the Spot Hogg Fast Eddie and Axcel Landslyde.

It's hard to justify not going with the double pin these days. One extra aiming point and a little extra range if you want to shoot far.

I have been using HHA single pins the past nine years. Have the Optimizer Kingpin on my 2014 Elite E35, and the single pin Tetra on both my 2021 Enkore and Remedy. They have performed great for me, so no need for changing.

I have a HHA Optimizer Ultra DS-XL5519 on two of my bows. I really like it. Goes out to 80yards but unfortunately my accuracy doesn't go much beyond 40. I'd stick with a HHA tho. Built like a tank and their customer service is top notch.

I have an older CBE Tek Hybrid and a spot Hogg Fast Eddie with the one pin. They both slide nice and are well built. I prefer the spot hoggs bright yellow scope housing. Makes aligning peep very easy when the hunting Adrenalin is flowing!

HHA makes great sights. Only thing truly comparable are the Spot Hoggs that the newer HHA's where designed off of. HHA has brighter pins, Spot Hogg gives you the MRT rings which are a huge benefit if you spend the time to set them up properly with your peep. Both are 2 of the most reliable and well built movable sights on the market.

I have HHA Tetras on 3 of my hunting bows and an Optimizer on my other one. I really like them a lot!

I shot my HHA for 6-7 years and then went to the Fast Eddie Triple Ring, which was a major improvement. Then I went to the Garmin Xero, which was an even larger improvement.

I like the HHA sights and I have a Kingpin on one of my bows. I have an Axcel Landslyde on the other bow. If someone made me choose between the 2, I would likely pick the Landslyde. It has a lot of great features I really like. It would be a tough decision though.

For TAC/3D/Field it's a No Brainer...

Mounted a Shrewd Optum 40mm Single .015 Pin with a 5x X-Focus Achromat Doublet to the Trophy Ridge Digital React Sight, Listen UP !!! -- it is THE END for: HHA, Axcel, Bowfinger, Spot Hogg, et al (ALL others) - Instantly OBSOLETE !!

1. 1st/2nd/3rd axis are a breeze.
2. You can actually "SEE" the Yardages... from 8 YARDS AWAY !! (hey older guys, Do I Have Your Attention ? Lols); btw ==> in .5 yard (or meter) increments.
FYI - it's DEAD NUTS at every single .5 yard increment !!
3. Sight Tape days are O V E R !! Hallelujah
Not only fumbling around with and sticking them on precisely, everyone knows that it takes months to get an 'ACTUAL' accurate sight tape (took me 3 months to get my 4th Sight Tape Dead On - shooting "ALOT"); Now, mere minutes !!
4. Separate (from the main wheel) Micro Adjust Elevation so you can MAXIMIZE full yardage range.
5. Dialing in the DIGITAL Sight Scale out to 125 yards literally took me 5 Minutes !! Sighted in the 20 yard (Traditional) then put in my Chrony Speed --- DONE !!!! So you say, "where can I find an accurate Chrony?" Well you really don't need to, just get within Hand Grenade Range (Arrow Speed Calculator will do the job). If you're hitting low, decrease bow speed (in the sight program). Hitting high, increase bow speed (in the sight program). And as an ancillary benefit - once you're on, you now have your "ACTUAL" Bow Speed.
6. You can program 5 different profiles (arrow wt and/or draw wt changes) and/or Different Bows.
7. With the Universal Scope Mount (Sold Separately - $30), you can add the scope of your choice to the sight.
8. Charged it overnight as directed when it arrived. Shot Three 3D Tourneys, forgot to turn it off on the last one and realized it later that evening (it was on for 7 hours), checked the Battery - Still Full.

Hope it helps,

John
