I have only ever put silencers on my string but I have seen others with them on their cables as well. Does it really make your bow any quieter with them on your string and cable or should I not worry about it? If they should be on the cable as well where is the best place to put them? Thanks, Andrew

I have them on the cables of my Magnatec. Others have told me it's quieter but I can't tell the difference myself. After 14 years of turbine engines and tank cannons my hearing is pretty much shot though.

I know that a GREAT way to quiet up a single cam bow, is to put one silencer on the string around the speed nocks(down by the cam), and one on the cable, up high enough on the serving so that it doesn't get drawn into the cam at full draw...
