I currently use a nap 3000 rest and shoot aluminum. I have teflon tubes on the prongs to help reduce noise on the draw, but the noise is still considerable in my opinion. Was wondering if any of you folks have found something that works better?
I now use a TM Hunter converted to drop away, but when I used it as a shoot thru, I found that if I painted the prongs with clear "Hard as Nails" fingernail polish it would quieten it down considerably. You have to really use a lot, and coat the prongs really well for it to last, but after I found the right combination, it lasted a couple months at a time, is very reasonible to use, and does an excellent job. Hope this helps. Be safe.
i use this sticky felt stuff. one side it is like a tape, the other is a material like felt. you can use regular craft felt by using double sided tape on it. this makes it as quiet as it can be.
