what exactly is it?
does it work?

im looking for anything to really make my bow as quiet as possible. i dont want to hear anything when i shoot it. I dont mind if i lose some speed, im at 65# and shooting around 280, so i can boost it up to around 70# to gain any lost speed.

Im adding a sts, 4 bow jack string silencers, and maybe even this cable dampner.

heres is what i am referring to...

Thanks for the help!!

They work fine. I put mine right up against the cable slide and it helped eliminate some vibration. Limbsaver Ultras and a STS by far is the best way to go if you have not done that yet.

Remove the cables from your slide and slip the cable dampner on. The CSS Tunerz come 4 to a package and they wrap around and are removable. You can install them on your riser, limbs cable gaurd and or sight. The best thing about them is that you can put them on a new bow if you upgrade in the future. CSS also has the STS version for a string stopper.

Hi Goose7856,
CSS = custom shooting systems.

Look at the PSE NV system. I have them on my PSE silhouette and it reduces vibration and noise. These are mounted on the limb bolts. My Ovation has the tunerz

As far as I'm concerned the Bowjax cableguide rod dampener works far better than the Simms dampener. I have always used Simms products and thought that they were the best. That all changed when I was at the ATA Show last January. I had the good fortune to visit the Bowjax booth and to try out their products. When I got home I placed an order through ProStrings (ProString Archery, LLC. 320-679-2843 http://www.prostring.com) for a complete set of Bowjax to try on some of my different bows.

On every bow that I tried the Bowjax on I noticed Significant noise and vibration reduction. Those bows included several bows that I had to remove Simms products to test the differences.

For my money I would rather buy Bowjax products! Bowjax are more reasonably priced, they work better and they look cool!
