Don't see how anyone could argue with a Cutco. Dangerously sharp cerated blade. I have skinned at least 30 deer with mine over the last several years and have not had it sharpened yet.

Find a dealer or on the web for Lakota knives. They are made in Japan by a family that has made swords for like 8 million years or maybe a little longer. They are extremly sharp. I have several styles and love them.

Gerber makes a really nice round blade skinning knife with gut hook that is a reasonable price and very easy to sharpen...

cutco

I got a cutco recently because the local pro shop owner swears by em now. He gets a lot of game every year and is absolutely awed by em. He skinned and deboned two bear on his last hunt this fall and the knife still shaves the hair off my arm easy.

Plus a really great warranty

-ever gets dull....take back to dealer and it gets sharpened for 5 bucks
-lose it? Can replace it for 1/2 price.

Wayne has numerous other personal knives but says that he is sold on his cutco now.

Got mine, so far so good.
