I had an old rack out in the garage of a 6 yr old buck. Since I took that buck , I began doing European Mounts. That buck was professionally aged at 6 yrs old. It was a memorable hunt as I was sitting on the ground and a doe was leading a buck right in front of me. Some how she saw me move and began to stiff leg a warning...Some reason she calmed down and kept leading the buck. It was a miracle they calmed down and with a perfect shot and drop after only 20 yards. So I used one of the imitation skulls. I think it is a good way to present a memory if you don't have the original skull. I do my own European Mounts now.
