Not too bad. The IBO rating uses a different set of specs than your actual setup. You're shooting a slightly heavier arrow than the rating, and one inch shorter draw length. I'd say your numbers are pretty close.

I.B.O is 70# 30" draw and a 350 grain arrow. Like Dave said, you are shooting an inch less drawlength and just "ballparking" it here...your arrow probably weighs in the neighborhood of 375 - 380. I think I would be happy with 295 fps!

Yes what they said... and anything on your string will drop FPS, D-loop, peep etc. I'm getting 260 FPS from a bow rated at 305.
Your expectations might be a little high, but I would not call 295 a slow bow.

His arrow weighs more than 380 gr. There is proabably another 23 gr for the insert, plus another 30 gr for the vanes, wrap, and nock in addition to the 351 gr for the shaft and tip. That arrow is over 400 gr if you ask me. That's probably 10 fps off of IBO right there, plus another 10 fps for draw length, plus some more for peep, d-loop, etc. and I would say it's shooting where it should be.

your arrows might be around 400 grains . Im shooting axis 9.something @ 28 1/2 & no wraps blazers 100 up front mine are 412 grains .
my katera was shooting 300 fps with this arrow but I added another string & backed it down to 67 pounds & it's 292 now. you still have the bumble bee on the string ? I added one on the top also gained a few fps.

Gold Tip has the XT Hunter 7595 shafts that are 8.9 grains per pound and .340 spine...but you will probably only gain like 5 fps...up to you, your speed is plenty fast.

I finally got around to putting my Katera on the Chrono and I was a little surprised by the result.

Ive got it at 72#

and a 29" draw..

as for my arrow, check my math..

im shopoting ICS hunters at 9.3GPI 27"

so thats 251 + the 100 grain point so 351, + the noc, bohning wraps and blazers.. no idea what they weight..

took 5 shots, 294,295,295,296

Well, you could shoot a GT 5575 if the bow was shooting 70lbs max according to the 2006 sizing chart I'm looking at for a 27 inch arrow.

8.2 grn/inch

My 26.25" gt 5575 arrows weight 358 grains with blazers and not wraps.
375 with vanes if I recall.

342 grains with 4" feathers.

290fps is great for hunting though.
