Well my viper seat finally gave way. I was thinking of getting a replacement summit seat as I have always thought the viper was pretty comfy, but after reading some threads I see Slumper and Hazmore also fit the Viper. I mainly Bow hunt, but admit I don't like sitting so high in the stand I feel like I could fall out. Especially on those mornings I haven't had enough sleep. Ha Ha. I have done fine shooting out of the hanging Viper seat. That said I seen Slumper sales a seat that looks similar to the original Viper. It doesn't look like it folds/ segregated in three spots like the Viper seat, and I think it is narrower with a longer back. If I am reading the specs right. Was wandering if this would make it pack different. I don't care to add extra bulk or awkwardness. I would just hate to go away from the Summit seat if the Slumper doesn't pack as good. That said while looking I also saw the Slumper mesh which is interesting because it can still be adjusted, and has to pack easily. Also the Hazmore which people rave about, but my concern is it may sit too high for my liking. Anyhow I can not find many consumer reviews on the Slumper or Slumper mesh. Anyone have any real world reviews or suggestions? Thanks ahead of time!

Does it sit really high? Pretty comfy? Was also looking at the mesh Slumper which looks similar, but looks to allow you to adjust for height. I think I would like some adjustments if possible. Don't know how comfortable/stable though. I can't seem to find anyone to give me real any world feedback on it. Someone did vote on it however

I didn't like the hazemore. Uncomfortable and it made rubbing sound if you shifted your weight in just the wrong way. I bought a summit replacement and its super comfy and quiet.

Any replacement seat other than a Summit is a compromise. I made a web seat that I use and it works great but for long sits or cold wheather I put the Summit seat on.

The original Summit seat is pretty comfy. How does the replacement compare, and how about the bungee that goes around the tree on back pad? Is it an upgrade from the original or did they make a mistake in the new design? It's hard for me to see the new one from pics.

i have a slumper mesh on an older api climber of mine, and also a hazmore mesh on my viper which i put on to compare it to the slumper a couple years ago. i like the hazmore better because it stretches some, which seems to make it more comfy while sitting. i really like the construction of the slumper better tho, it seems like it's a bit more heavy duty- just not as comfy to me.

I think it is alot like the oringinal. It hangs with a seat and back. I think they changed the bungee that attaches the back to the tree though. That is if I am correct.

I just put on the hazmore seat on my summit viper a couple days ago. I really like it, you can adjust the knots to so you can sit lower or higher in the seat. I'm 6'2" and my legs aren't even close the hitting the bar of the top section of the climber. Very comfortable seat

Well the Hazmore is getting most the votes. I wander if the Hazmore is that much better or than say the Mesh Slumper, or if the Mesh Slumper hasn't had as many people try it. Less popular or advertised. Anyone else with first hand experience with the Mesh Slumper Pros versus Cons

I recently picked up a hazmore seat to cut down on the bulk for long walks on public land. It's not bad, especially with the third hand foot rest. I climbed a tree in the yard last night to sit and see how i liked it and I probably could have fallen asleep in it. That said I'm still going to keep the stock summit seat for shorter walks and anytime I plan to sit all day. It's more bulky and in the way when you're climbing but it has the edge in comfort IMO. They each have their pros and cons so I think you'll have to decide which works best for the kind of hunting you do.

This is exactly the reason why I modded my straps to include quick detach clips. I can put it in my pack while climbing and install it when I'm situated.

Well I went ahead and picked up a Summit replacement since I found a good deal on one. Haven't got it in yet, so I'm not sure if I'm gunna like the different strap that attaches the back to the tree better. I am still curious about the Mesh Slumper. Anyone else with first hand experience?

The new summit seats attach and detach quick and easily.

I have the Slumber mesh and I am not in love with it. It could be a little deeper front to back as it does not cradle my butt comfortably. I am 5'8" and 175# so I am not that big. It also won't adjust to sit at the same height as the front bar on my Summit, I can get my stock seat to sit pretty close. I think I am going t get a replacement seat from Summit.

Does anyone have pictures of the new replacement seat???
