I guess he just accidently walked into it? I wonder if he had any high boots on?
I wear Rocky Snake boots when I hunt...I wonder if that would protect you?

Good idea to find you arrow first, even after a good shot. I know I am always neverous as hell gutting a deer when one of the blades of my broadheads is missing. With all that blood, you could give yourself a real bad cut and not know it was you bleeding.

Wow, great post. I would have never thought about running into my own arrow in the bush. Very informative. I hope the guy recovers ok to hunt another day. Have you ever shot at a deer and not recovered the arrow? I wonder where it went, and hope no-one runs into to it the same way this poor fellow did his. Something to think about, try to find all your arrows before leaving your hunting area! Be safe.
