Even if you are set at the hightest resolution (4 megapixel and fine image quality) you should get about 119 images on a 256mb memory stick. There is an indicator on the screen that tells how many shots are remaining on your memory stick. That indicator increments downward with each picture taken. When you insert an empty memory stick in the camera, what does the screen indicator say? It should say about 119 if you are at 4mp and fine image quality.

It sort of sounds like the memory stick isn't working at all and you are only recording pictures on the internal 32mb memory. Have you used this camera for a while and confirmed earlier that the memory stick worked normally?

Try this, take the memory stick out. Turn camera on and set the camera to read/view mode. And then delete all the pictures that you see. These pics are saved on the internal memory. Turn camera back off. Then put the memory stick back in, and turn back on. View pics and delete. Take some pics and see what happens.

You are not the first and you will not be the last. I got burnt on this a few weeks ago. Brand ew set pf rtu batteries. I was in a hurry and didn`t check them. They were dead and no pics.
