I believe the species from last year and the whitetail legend from this year are basically the same bow? Can the new whitetail legend can with the limb stop be put on a species or did they make them different enough to not allow that? Thanks!

I received my Whitetail Legend last week. I'm basically brand new to archery as it's been 35 years since I used a bow.
I came out of the box in nearly set up condition. Changing the draw length and weight was a breeze. Everything was in line. I barely had to adjust the sight or tweak the string stop.
Things I would critisize: really the only thing is the quality of the accessory threads. They were not very cleanly done. Have a set of taps to get rid of all the bits of aluminum left behind. On a subjective note, i do not like the bow stabilizer. I didn't feel it reduced vibration (which i don't notice anyway) and it made the bow balance funny after release.
The quality of the other accessories is good enough that I don't feel an urde to replace them. At least, not right away.
The bow is quiet, smooth, and more accurate than i am.
No regrets making this purchase. I'm having a blast.

If you are looking for a good stabilizer check out the Easton Buckshot in 8inch makes my Paradox completely dead in the hand

Just picked up the Whitetail Legend two weeks ago and no buyers remorse at all. The RTH package is comprised of solid components and a great way to get out in the field quickly. That being said I'm just not a fan of the Whisker Biscuit and swapped it out. The bow was easy to tune and I was shooting bullet holes through paper in short order. I also shot the Species and Paradox while I was at it. The WL and Species are pretty much the same bow but the WL has an 80% let off while the Species is 75%. The Paradox is a little faster (330 fps compared to 320fps) is 80% let off but the brace height is 6.25" compared to 6.75" on the WL / Species. So while all three bows are very similar I ended up going with the WL because it just felt like it had the smoothest draw cycle.

They are similar but not the same, different risers, different cams hence the different let off and other specs. The species cam is not drilled and tapped for the limb stop like the WL. I would say it comes down to personal preference between the two.
