How do you splice vanes together? I'd like to give it a try.

Vanes or Feathers?

I am new to fletching and also am going to try my hand at splicing. When you say vanes I think of plastic or whatever they make them from, and don't know if you can splice them.
Feathers, however are a different story! Go to Gateway's website... www.gatewayfeathers.com and you will find a good description of the art (see tip of the month) along with pictures. They can be things of beauty and I don't believe it is all that hard. I have several hundred feathers ordered now in different colors...shapes...sizes...etc. I think they will look pretty cool!

Can't help there...Try posting on the general discussion forum...so many more ATalkers viewing there...maybe someone will reply. I would certainly be interested.
