Not a bad place to spend a little money. For me mostly odds and ends. Calls, ammo, last minute camping supply replacement. Decent pricing on most things. Good sales sometimes also. Have purchased a pistol on sale a few years back, bo complaints. Did have to return a duck hunting jacket awhile back, stitching had started to come out after 1 use. They exchanged it no problem.

I always had good experiences with them. Nonetheless cheapest, but the local store where I used to live was always clean and usually well stocked. If you kept an eye out you could get some great deals.

I bought a Howa Kuiu edition .308 for $375 on clearance there a few years ago (retail sticker said $1,200).

Been in a couple Sportsman’s Warehouse stores and they seem to have some different items in stock. Think it is positive that sale to BPS and Cabela’s got called off. It is better for the consumer if there is competition. Just have to see if SW can survive on their own.

Our local store actually does quite a bit to support our archery club; raffle items and allowing space out front for promotional tables for a variety of local archery endeavors.

Sportsman Warehouse gives a discount to veterans that were drafted unlike Cabelas and Bass Pro Shop that only gives discounts to retired or active military. It is smaller and easier to run in and out. Prices otherwise seems the same to me.

Cabelas/Bass Pro always gives me a veterans discount, but it's only 5%

Sportsman's gave me a 10% discount iirc

We've had one in Albuquerque for many years and they have been good for the most part. Now Cabelas/bass moved in and they are struggling a bit. They do a lot of raffles to support local communities and usually have more knowledge locals working there than what I've experienced with Cabelas. Inventory can be lacking sometimes but that is likely due to the good sales they regularly have.

I like Sportsmans. They put guns on sale then I go to Scheels and they will price match it.
Sportsmans is an hour away but when I’m in the neighborhood I’ll swing in and browse. Its like a little Cabelas before they became a clothing store.

I spent a year in Viet Nam at the government's request and Cabelas/ Bass Pro in AZ and Washington State gave me nothing even after I showed proof of being a Veteran. I was told I had to show a military retirement card. The same with Home Depot while Lowes gives me a discount. Home Depot does give a discount to veterans one day a year on Veteran's Day. ACE Hardware also gives Verteran's discount when you ask.

Sportsman Warehouse does have some junk but they also have good products. I bought my Vortex Vipers there when they were on sale and the price beat Cabelas/ Bass Pro by a large amount. Sportsman Warehouse is a quick in and out while Cabelas/ Bass Pro will take a couple of hours. Sportsmans Warehouse is also much closer to where I live.

We have one in town. They came in, ran out all the mom and pop gun shops and now it's all we have. Luckily we still have a stand alone archery shop. Good thing, because there is nobody at Sportsman's that I would let touch my bows.

Not bad. They had an Xpedition bow on super sale and I asked to shoot it in their little 1 lane tuning range before I bought it (even brought my release and some arrows). They said no because they had it filled with inventory items. So, I walked. I'm glad I did because I really enjoy the bow I got when I wasn't being influenced by a sale price.

We have one in the town I live in. For several years we had no pro shop, so they were my only option for bow work. I do not have a press and have always had to take my bow somewhere to have new strings/cables put on, have it timed and set to specs, time a drop away rest, and tie in peep...
Whether you can trust bow work comes down to the Tech they have. You just make sure to look over their work after getting your bow back.
When I first took a bow to them they had an older gentleman working the bow counter that was semi retired and just using it as a job to supplement his income. He knew what he was doing and I never had any trouble with his work. Then he fully retired and they hired a new guy, he happened to also be very knowledgeable. He had worked at Spokane Valley Archery for several years and had just moved to our area with his family. He was very good and ended up moving on to open his own Pro Shop after about a year (where I have my work done now). After that Sportsman's got a guy that was fairly new, I found problems with his work here and there.
In my experience they don't seem to pay them a whole lot, so you'll see the same Tech for around a year and then they move on. You then have to start over with vetting a new tech's work. I would just measure axle to axle spec, brace height spec, check timing, check drop away timing, and generally if those things were on I had no issues.
As far as their inventory, they have decent brands but their prices aren't the greatest.

Do not recommend. Customer service (when you can get ahold of them) is awful. Much better choices out there IMO
Surprised by this since I called CS 5 times during my ordering of my 10 ladder stands after the voice prompts I always got a human in a few rings and they answered all questions and figured out how many stands arrived and how many still on there way. I'd get emails saying to pick up me order it's in but not all would come in at same time and I didn't want to do a 3 hr round trip to get 2 stands then 2 more a week later and 2 more the next week so they held stands for me at location till all 10 were available to pick up. They even called me when all 10 were there and not just email. I will say I did call the store I ordered them from not the main office place.

They used to be so much better before the whole bass pro / Cabela’s merger deal went down. Now locally they are not much better than Cabela’s. I also will say do not let them touch your bows. Or cut your arrows. I let them try on my arrows a few times when they had some good sales and not once did they actually get my requested length correct and inserts were not even close to true

Decent enough for a big box store. There is one in my town. I’ve purchased things like nocks and fletchings there when it’s been more convenient than going out of my way to get to the pro shop. I think I bought a bag target there when they were on sale once too.

Like others have said, it’s kind of like a Bass Pro/Cabelas. I don’t think I would let them work on my bow unless I didn’t have any other choice.

Sportsman's Warehouse.... Has anybody ever used this Company ? I see they have several offices in Wy. Are they good to use? Anybody had any issues ? Thank you/
At best they are ok.

Ones down here used to have some really good techs, one national champion, but they now have the archery department run by whoever happens to walk by.

Where are you in Wyoming?

The one we had in Oregon had a pretty substantial archery section. Always lots of bows in stock, pretty big arrow and broadhead selection, lots of sights and rests, targets, etc

Better selection than the archery section at Bass Pro in Tallahassee
