Me and my buddy got this Gobbler today!

We spotted him in the middle of the day, set up on him, called a little, stalked a little, and well, you see how it ended!

The coolest thing is, we got it all on video!

Is this a Merriam? We're trying to figure it out.....

Yep, we got him in Eastern ND, not far from Grand Forks.

Lots of fun, he was cocking around our winter wheat field, looking for some company!

He was pumped, only problem is he shot it with a 2 blade bloodrunner.......eeeeesh....watch out for those things! It did a "job" on him!

It was intense!

I didn't think hunting a turkey would be that exciting.

I will be hunting those suckers next spring!

That's a Merriam, very white tips and dark bands on those tail feathers too. Congrats.
