Is anyone using spot Hogg releases? I currently shoot a nock on, but thinking about trying something new

You will probably like them as long as you like a light trigger. They are not meant to be shot with a medium to heavy trigger with the exception of the tuff guy and keaton releases. They are built to have more trigger tension adjustability in them than the others. I won the NW Mountain challenge in Idaho this past weekend with my friday night delight. Just know that the friday night and saturday night both are very short necked releases, and you will need to change your draw length or loop length to make them feel the same as your nock on release. The Whipper Snapper will be more comparable. Great releases, especially if you have not fallen for the misconception that a sear release is the only way to go. The linkage system is a far superior and safer design for shooting a light trigger. When you set sears that hot with no travel, any amount of wear in that sear can be catastrophic.

When it comes to spot hogg I think they make real durable wrist strap releases. Other than that everything is good at the price point but not as good as you can get in the industry. The hand held releases do the job but I’ve broken 2 already. They just don’t hold up like a truball or a Carter and don’t have the same adjustability and fit and finish.

I tried a Whipper Snapper and just couldn't get myself to like it. It worked ok, but it just didn't fell great. I then got a Nock2it and loved that release. I prefer a little heavier trigger tension on a thumb release. Then I got a Stan Perfex and I love it even more, so the Nock2it got sold. I'll probably buy another Perfex for a backup.

Been using the Friday Night Delight for about a week now and love it!
At first I thought I wouldn't with the neck being so short and it takes me a few warm up shots to get my anchor and everything sorted when I use it but I shoot it really well.
I've thought about trying the open hook Whippersnapper because it has the longer neck but I'm afraid to quit on the Friday Night Delight.
