I put a stabilizer on my bow before I even take the first shot. It helps me hold the pins steadier and balances the directional forces when you're at full draw. Not all stabs are created equal though, I use a long 8-12" rigid stabilizer with an adjustable weight stack at the end. Most of the stabilizers out there today are some sort of rubber or navcom material and simply soak up any lingering vibration they're not really stabilizers they're vibration dampeners.
