I am holding a new Stan Shootoff release and a few ? come to mind. Why is the moving jaw flapping in the breeze when not cocked and locked down? Should there be a spring keeping the moving part open until it gets locked down? Design or malfunction on this one only. When cocked and locked, why can I still hear a rattle when moved side2side? Does the lack of a revolving head put too much torque on the D loop when shot with back of hand against face? BTW, the craftsmanship is superb.

I have this release and the head is loose when the cocking lever is not depressed. I shoot with the back of my hand against my face and it does not present any problems with the d loop.

I had the privilege of talking with Mr. Springer from Stan releases. He answered all my ? and concerns. Thank you to all who posted answers. It is now up to me to extract the perfection stored in this release.
