Looks like something Gear Head archery would produce. I vaguely remember them having something like this a few years ago at Harrisburg but haven't seen anything since.
Shoots a steel ball (i.e.; catapult) or dual purpose (bow and catapult)? Can't imagine the ball projectile would be real accurate...maybe on the order of a slingshot and you would need a supply of steelies.
I'd be too worried about things going wrong at release. I wouldn't want the steel ball heading for my bow hand at high speed. Then again, I don't like slingshots for the same reason, so probably just me being paranoid.
Way back in the day they made a cross bow that shot steal ball bearings forget the name of it but they made it for a challenge on forged in fire tv show
Imagine shooting , the ball comes off weird , bounces off the riser , hits you right in the face
