I recently upped my draw weight from 63# to 70#. MY draw length is 28.5 and my arrows are 29 inches. I shoot a 125 grain point.
I was using Gold Tip 55/75(.400 spine).
Do I need to go to a stiffer arrow(.340 spine)?
Hopefully will get to do some outside shooting this weekend to see how the old arrows fly.
Any advice would be welcome

Absolutely. Next arrow size up---7595. Or you could look at their Ultralite series in a 300 spine or even the 22 series. The 22's are a superb arrow.

hmmm...I have always shot 70-73# with a 29" arrow...My archery shop has always set me up with 55/75 gold tip xt's...So should I actually be shooting a 75/95?What if I shortened my arrows to 28"?Thanks

Might be a good idea to drop your point to 100 grains and maybe cut an inch or 2 off the arrows.. That should help stiffen the arrow up. If your at 28.5 dl there your probably better off shooting an arrow at 27 1/4 inches, imo.

I looked at the GT chart in my Lancaster book and it says with a 125gr tip @29" is 55lbs. I ain't saying it's right but that what the chart says. 28" arrow at 70-75 lbs is a 75/95 arrow spine 85,100 or 125 grain don't matter

any advantage going to a 77/95 @ 29 inch with 125 grain or a 55/75 @27 inch with 100 grain?Which is recommended and why?
I always lean toward longer/heavier/greater FOC and lose a little on the speed end of things.
