One of my shooting buddies brought out his Apex with a new string and cable for tuning. With his Fatboy 400s (1 1/2" Blazers 80 gr nibs) he was getting a left tear no matter where we put the rest. For the heck of it he shot a Beman ICS 400 (2" Blazers 100 gr field points) and got a perfect bullet hole and could actually get a right tear if we moved the rest to far. Why such different results with 2 arrows of the same spine? Both arrows are right at 29" and draw weight of the bow is 60-62 lbs.

Different fletch and not the same spine. Lighter pts on the fatboys stiffen the spine. Doesnt sound like apples to apples.

I could be wrong though. Just my .02

Also the beman sits lower than the fatboy changing the nock height a little bit, try lowering the rest a touch with the fatboys and see if you get a better tear.
