i just purchased a drop zone by trophy ridge and they say the rest needs to be in the up position for the last 2 1/2 - 4" of the draw cycle. It appears to me that the string has to pull on the cable quite a bit to do this, what effect does this have on my bow? I have a Hoyt Alpha Max.

your rest should be in the up position the last 1'' to 1 1/2 of your draw...

ive been having the same problem, i changed my cord recentely and i couldnt get it back the same way. I was getting all kinds of eratic arrow flight,fishtailing like crazy i beleave it was putting torque on my cables somehow. i also noticed after the change my sight adjustment was maxed out and had to be flipped upside down...After i worked on it some today it started shooting a foot low. i wasnt even aiming that well today and was hitting dead on. so ithink a inch is good...
