The Sims leeches work well for a while then tend to break. I like the Sims products so I started putting the "new" crossbow leeches on all of my bows. So far they work every bit as well as the other style leeches in quieting string noise, and I haven't had any problems with them breaking.
Buy Sims String Leeches and cut the legs off of them, leaving just the chunk of rubber that mounts in the string. I experimented with this the other day and found it's just as quiet with only the chunk in the string as it is with the whole unit, but the weight per silencer goes from 30 grains to 10 grains when done.
In the end, you'll gain some arrow speed while keeping your just as quiet as it was
