string stops adding speed?

One of my friends told me that adding a string stop can increase your speed 15 fps? Is there any truth to this because he has been known to stretch facts alot.

Yes they can, especialy if your nocks are to tight, but then again thats the problem in the first place;nocks to tight can actually slow your arrow down alot ,more than most think,I've tested it on my chrono. If they hold on to long they hold the arrow back AND give inconsitent release causing your arrow to have funky kicks, nothing drastic, but then again we are all looking for perfection or we wouldn't ask most of the questions we do.
