Hi All,

I am looking to get a a strictly 3d bow and Strothers have perked my interest. Cabela's had the Rush XT at a killer deal of $550 new. I shot it just briefly and was truly impressed...actually was looking for a hunting bow for a friend at the time. My hunting and target bow are all setup and slush fund has grown to where i can get a 3d bow. Problem is cabela's no longer have the Rush XT...only shop that has Strothers only has a SX Rush and the shop is a good hour or two away.

So anyone familiar with the bows and can provide comparison. Would these bows make a good hunterclass 3d bow. Anyone have any recommendations on a good 3d bow. Local guy can order Strothers but states he has to charge the full $800 or so...and that is sight unseen. Heard about Obsession ... but samething...paying $850 without shooting it and not overly comfortable. I have a PSE hunting bow and i know several will comment that I do not need a separate 3d bow...but the slush fund purchases are how I reward myself for working as much as I do...and I like the different feel of mixing up the bows I shoot. Thanks and any insight would be appreciated.

I own a rush xt and absolutely love my bow. Ive never owned a sx rush but have shot it. Both are great shooting bows finish is flawless both would make a good hunter class target bow for sure. They are very similar in comparison but the biggest difference u will see/feel is the rush xt with badger 2 cams have a better valley. Both are a little stiff at first but draw almost equal. As far as speeds go I could not tell you because I never chronoed the sx rush my rush xt hits 286 at 55 lbs and near 300 at 60lbs.

I have an XT and love it. Actually bought it off here for $400 bucks. Don't be afraid to buy a used one either, Strother has a fully transferable warranty and their customer service is great. I've never shot the SX but I can tell you you'll be hard pressed to find anything that will out shoot the XT. Not saying that it's so much better, but I've shot a crap load of others...now don't get me wrong they are all very good, but they are not any better than that XT. Don't buy into the hype of the big market brands. Strother is the real deal. Liked my XT so much I bought a Wrath SHO...it's a shooting machine too!

I actually think the SX Rush and Wrath were better bows than the XT and Show versions. To me the originals were quieter and had less vibe.
