For those of you that hunt Suislaw, I hope the public land article in this months Field and Stream dont ruin your area. They ranked Suislaw National Forest the number 1 area for public land elk hunting(in the US). They dont give any hotspots, but I hope you dont get bombarded next year.:zip:

Wow i don't hunt that area but I might next year. ha ha just kidding. Dang that sucks and is cool all in one. Sorry for all you guys and gals that hunt that spot.

never tell those writers or odfw people the truth about anything

they did that to a friend of mines secret like area and it has never recovered and that was 20 yrs ago. tell them that the deer are great in the south hills of Eugene and let'em print that lol they have no interest in anything but money and ink

It's all good. I grew up hunting that area and if your not willing to get off the roads a ways your not going to see any elk. If anything this will just help concentrate the elk in a few spots I know of and make it easier the next time I hunt that area.
