I currently have a bushmaster and love it. Just shot a doe out of it saturday. But it's not great for long sits. I'm thinking of getting a python top assembly to use for those all day sits during rifle season. Could anyone give me some input on the Python? How does that adjustable rifle rest/foot rest work? What keeps it up in position? Is it noisy? Is it easy to pack? I know it has to be 10 times more comfortable than my bushmaster.

For me, the python is really comfortable once up in tree. It is a little ackward to climb with trying to sit on the bar if you prrefer that method. I usually end up standing and arming my way up . Just don't feel secure on that swing down bar because you are a long way from tree. I 'm thinking about selling mine and trying a different brand . I once had an ol man and for me it was easier to climb with but quite a bit heavier for packing.
