I SHOOT BHFS , AND GOING TO VEGAS , NATIONALS AND STAN OPEN .I AM MAKING CHANGES TO MY SIGHTING SET UP, I HAVE A SURE-LOC 42mm SCOPE BODY KIT WITH NO LENS . I AM LOOKING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE PERFECTED THE INSTALLATION OF THE FIBER - OPTIC PIN INTO THE TINY HOLE IN THE RAZOR PIN ! I HAVE BOTH , .019 AND A .029 DIA.. WOULD ALSO LIKE TO BUY A .039 RAZOR KIT 42mm NEW IN BOX IF POSSABLE. I HAVE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS SURE-LOC SUGGESTS BUT HOW CAN YOU GET UP TO 160 DEGREE HEAT WITHOUT A FLAME ON SUCH A SMALL TIP ONLY? AND THEN HOW DO YOU SMOOTH THE END FOR BEST LIGHT GATHERING CAPABILITIES WHILE IT IS STLL HOT? AND WHEN I TRY TO PUT FIBER INTO HOLE IN THE PIN HOUSING IT IS SHAVING FIBER PIN. ALSO I HAVE NOT SHOT FIBER OPTIC INDOOR BEFORE AND DON'T KNOW WHAT DIAMETER WILL WORK FOR ME. MAY NOT WORK AT ALL , MAY NEED TO USE BLACK PIN LIKE I HAVE BEEN USING. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON INDOOR PIN ? PLEASE HELP JOHN

I shoot nothing but a CR housing and a .019 razor pin with no fiber. It has worked just fine for me at two Vegas tournies and one Indoor Nationals. I find glowing fiber to be distracting and unneccessary indoors. Just my opinion.

I agree with AKDoug. I just use a small black pin that blurs out when I focus on the target. I also think a bright dot is distracting. Black works well on the vegas target also and some fiber colors blend In. JMO

Doug, .019 Razor Pin W/o Fiber, Are You Veiwing Pin With Hole In It? If So, Can You See And Aim It Good Enough Like That? John

Actually, no. I put a drop of super glue in it and colored it black. It is actually against the rules in BHFS to use an aperature (hole) without an aiming point in it.
