i am trying to figure out if 3.2mp or 2.0 mp will be better for taking pics of game. i want to be able to put them in computer and isolate then zoom in on animals. does it matter the mp in this situation. i am not going to be printing anything. thanks

Simple answer....YES

Yes, because of you wanting to zoom in. The MP gives you the detail needed to be zooming in on the computer or blowing up the pic in order to print. the Detail will be lacking on a 2 mp photo for zooming in and getting much detail. You may also find the 3.1 lacking depending on how far you are taking the pics and how far you wish to zoom in.

More megapixels is going to give you better resolution when you zoom in. Lower pixels are going to give you a very grainy looking image.

Yes for instance an 8 megapixel picture you can blow up the size of a small wall, but a 2 megapixel is gonna be fuzzy if you blow it up beyond its original size.
