Last year I stole an idea I heard from John Dudley regarding target scope set up and it's been working perfectly for me in my Specialty Archery Versa and Versa 3D scopes. If you prefer dots to pins in your target scopes, hopefully this can help you out as much as it did for me.

how do you set up a scope to do that?
Not sure what you mean exactly, but I'll do my best to answer.

You can pick up lens rings/dots from a variety of places. Specialty Archery sells sheets of black, orange and yellow circles and dots. When you buy them, it comes with a template where you can put your lens. This template includes a variety of circles on it, which you can use to center your dots. I normally use a piece of clear tape and put the non-sticky side of the dot on it. Then I use that tape to put the dot onto the lens.

Then I repeat the process with a slightly smaller dot in the middle of the first dot.
