What are some long lasting and durable targets out on the market some of you would recommend? I shoot almost everyday and have only ever purchased basic bag targets. I go through one almost every 3 months at the most. Ideally would like something with multiple target options and hard foam such as the morels and possibly something I can broadhead tune with too. I know some go upwards of $500 but would like something reasonably priced as I already spend wayyyy to much on archery stuff lol.

Thanks in advance

I’m in it for the comments as I’m looking for a new target as well. I’ve been shooting morrell high rollers for a few years, but I chew one up pretty quick. They do pretty good with field tips, but usually when I get to shooting broadheads close to season I destroy it at a rapid pace.

I shoot daily too, and have been shooting this 365 Archery 5-core for the last 4 or 5 years, and haven’t replaced a block yet. And I shoot broadheads in to it regularly too. 365 makes a few different targets. I like their foam, and I like the style of target with a removable block. The removable block style targets let me shoot the the whole block, whereas a foam target by itself, we all tend to focus more on the center. Being able to rotate the blocks is great too, and these blocks have seen a lot or arrows. I keep at 24” Trio in the garage for setup work, and i drag it outside if I want to shoot a different distance from the deck, than where the 5-core is setup.

The 5-spot was around. $750 when I bought it, and the foam blocks are ~$60 each to replace. They also make two different 2-block targets and a few different sizes of single block targets. Prices range anywhere between $125 and $600. The two different 5 spots are now $800 and $1200

All of em are junk I usually just get whatever cheap foamy for broadheads and when it’s done it’s done. For fieldpoints I have a few Bulldog bags and get the replacement faces every year from them. They hold up great for the amount we shoot, which is quite a lot. But haven’t found a good combination target. I like that 365 but can’t fathom the price being close to what I paid for a bow.

I have a big shot target extreme 500, and while it was 160 bucks and they are more now, I think it will outlast me, that is if I stop keeping it behind my broadhead target. I had a pass through chop a big hole in the weave on one side of the big shot.

For broadheads, I either buy a crappy target and destroy it or I find one on the side of the road. I live where they are a few bow hunters scattered through out and you can find shot up targets on garbage day every now and then. I snag them up, pop the straps, take out the shot up foam, and slap a ratchet strap around it to hold it together. There's no shame in garbage picking...I made almost 5k during covid doing that it:LOL:

Thanks for your inputs! I have heard alot about the 365 targets but yes they can get pricey. I do like the removable insert types as long as they aren't more than half as much as the target. I completely understand broadheads will destroy almost all targets and more than likely will still have one aside designated for that time of the year.

I have been shooting the Matrix for a while now, and it has held up better than anything else I have tried, especially with the amount I shoot. That being said, I have been eyeing the new Mackenzie Delta targets lately. They seem to have a good reputation for durability, and I like that a lot of their models offer multiple aim points and realistic shapes, which helps keep practice interesting. If they hold up anywhere close to what people are saying, they might be a good balance between longevity and price without going into the $500+ range.

been through so many in the last two years...at least three other manufacturers outside the below.
  • Block targets have always been really great. Was sorry I changed from them, and now am back to them with two 4x4s and 4 2x4s. Indoors and out. Wont change again for these uses.
  • Reinhardt for my standing 3d elk
  • Morrell center punch for one long range target
  • Morrell XL dice for various ranges in the woods.

On a related point, I shoot the more bulbous field points - Iron will, Day six etc and they are a PITA to pull out of the plastic tarp material covered targets)

I have the delta McKenzie predator 36 and there’s a post on my profile that shows a bunch of stuff for it. Ridiculously durable

I'm shooting the Sevr 21" HD archery target with easy pull foam.
I shot Rinehart targets for years, but the Sevr target is the best that I have owned.
It's a nice big target that holds up well to broadheads and the arrows pull super easy.
They are not cheap at $289. but worth every penny.

for field points, I use this bulldog target. They run specials all the time and are super easy to pull out.
For broadheads, I just have a big bag of old clothes that works ok. Can't beat the price of free lol

I have a love hate relationship with my bulldog target. I’ve had it a few years and I’m on my 6th or 7th set of covers lol. I dead cleaning up all the pieces and re-covering it. But nothing else can hold a candle to it for shot to cost ratio.

I also have one of the hybrid cube targets from American whitetail at my lease. Been shooting it for 5 years or so albeit lower volume. Pretty tough targets.

I always see mix reviews on the Matrix. I’d like to find something similar as you can’t shoot collared arrows into bag targets.

Only field points sir, crap targets period. You can zoom in on his image and see that his foam is missing chunks.
foam is missing chunks for many, many broadheads, and you can see broadhead patterns in the painted white area. If the targets were as crap as you say they are then how am I still shooting the same blocks thousands upon thousands of shots later? Literally- probably 35-40,000 shots on that target - no exaggeration. Lots of ranges use these targets too. I'm sorry you had the experience you did, if you check around you'll see that your experience is not a common one. But, if you shoot the same exact spot on any target, time after time and shot after shot, you'll be shooting through it in no time. did you shoot multiple spots and rotate the block?

Yes multi spots and rotation of the block about every 25 shot. Nothing personal sir in my comment above wasn't tryimg to be rude, your target looks damn good for that many shots. Mine is falling apart in less then 500
I had to order a new target today to replace the 365 it was only the 24" version but still at like $200 total waste of $ for me.
The BigShot 10XL is amazing so far, so much so I'll probably just get 3 more and make a small wall out of them. I'll post images when I head outside of my 365
There are a few reviews on Lancaster that have the same story as me, maybe they use softer foam in some models? No idea I just know that target I got was ****. I only shoot 55# and 60# bows no broadheads just field tips it should have lasted months. You can see yellow foam explode out of the rear when shot 👎🏻🤣
