I hate to hear that G, achy, and bruised muscles are bad enough. I can’t imagine having one that is torn.

Don’t wait too long on that surgery, I know a guy that waited and they almost couldn’t get it reattached because it had shrunk so much.

I'm 1 week away from hiking in and setting up elk camp, really looking forward to it! I've learned even to like the multiple day drive, its probably the best thinking and contemplating opportunity I get all year.
Good luck and be careful driving!! I’m leaving Sept 5th for Kentucky, I’m super excited too!!

Going back tomorrow for cortisone shots in the arm, torradol and rocephin in the back 😂, gotta make it one more year!!

Shot a 4 arrow little bigger than golf ball size at 40 and tennis 🎾 group at 60, 60 lbs is agreeing with me, was just a minor gang adjustment on the Black Gold , I’m pumped!!
HELLYEAH!! Good the hear you have made an adjustment that works for you.
You’re shooting better than I can shoot healthy..

Keep in mind that my surgeon is my friend, avid bowhunter and we grew up together 😂. Go to get my shots today, 1 in each elbow and both butt cheeks. 3 steroid and one torradol. Don’t know if you’ve ever had a torradol shot before, but it’s like getting a shot of thick ribbon cane syrup in your buttocks that feels like a Doomer marble that we played with when we were kids. Doc leaves and nurse Ratchet comes back with the shots. Arms go on fine. We get to the buttocks, Nurse says which cheek for the torradol. I say don’t care, she says which butt cheek do you use the most, my butt cheeks must be ambidextrous because I use them the same, her ooook. She loads the syrup and sticks me in the left cheek and proceeds to say Oh Noooo, me, oh no what,
her, the needle broke in your butt cheek, me, bullshit, her, no it broke as she proceeded to show me. I tell her to pull it out, her, no, I’m going to get Doc. I feel around there and it’s sticking out sure enough. I grab it and pull it out like a sticker. Doc comes in and I’m looking at it with my glasses on and he says you get the whole thing, me, pretty sure. Loads another one up, I suggested the ol arrow flex test for this one, him, good idea. Finally got it done and he says next time they’ll let me do it myself, me, don’t stop there might as well do the surgery too. 😂

Well, things will be a little different for me this season. I usually take all my vacation weeks from mid October through early December. Some new duties at work are forcing me to take at least one week in September. So, I'm going to time it out to hunt the early seasons in Maryland and Pa that week. Kinda looking forward to the change of pace. Still get the first week of November off.

They’re no big bucks like some of you guys are posting, but I’m still happy to see them showing up.

The top pic is by a couple persimmon trees that are loaded. I’m hoping to time that spot right when they start to ripen.

The bottom pic is a spot I’ve been dumping corn. It’s not my favorite way to hunt but it sure is a good way to put a doe in the freezer.

I haven’t gotten a buck on camera yet, but that’s pretty typical for the places I hunt. We usually don’t start seeing them until closer to rut when they start to roam more.

Yeah, bucks are far and few between during archery where I hunt in Montana.

In the first picture, I see sausage and 50 points, in the second picture I see sausage and 150 points.🤣

Well this was the first weekend in the last couple weeks I’ve had a chance to get back in the woods. Did some scouting Saturday and Sunday mornings checked a couple cameras that had been out for a few months. Nothing much on them but did have a couple decent deer show up in the last few weeks.
I do have another race next weekend, depending on the outcome might be the last race of the season. We did win the biggest race of our year last weekend which was awesome.

Don’t feel like I’ve done a very good job updating. Lots of life going on right now.

Don’t think I’ve disclosed it yet, but my wife and I actually bought 50 acres this spring and my parents bought 90 touching it. We are both in the process of building houses with my dad being the contractor. So yeah, it’s hectic.

But our 140 acres are pretty nice. Essentially a big hollow with owning most of the hill sides on either side. We had 3 acres in corn this spring and quite a bit of Egyptian wheat and sorghum screens in. We started discing for fall plots this afternoon. Think we will end up with +10 acres in fall plantings.

I did some work yesterday. Hung some sticks on one of the big plots I own. Also set out a boss buck feeder in the very center of the property in a spot that won’t be hunting. Between that and all the surrounding food, we should hold deer, especially late.

Went to my lease this morning at daylight. Did some walking and hung a stand and a camera. It’s a very good late season place as it’s a 200 acre pine plantation and I control the pressure and have 100% east boundary access. Sets up pretty well.

Counting the days down til Friday!! Arm still hurts pretty bad when I draw but I’m gonna grit my teeth and hopefully put a good one down and get this party started.
The Adrenaline Rush will get that bow drawn for you, no worries, just
hit ‘em where it hurts.
Good luck man! we will be cheering for you.
