Does anyone have any info on the Tenzing TC1500 or Badlands Treestand packs? I'm looking to purchase one or the other and would like some first hand knowledge on these items from anyone that currently owns one or has in the past. Overall brand pros and cons would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

I used a Tenzing TC 1500 for whitetail last fall and it is just about perfect. It is just a touch small for all my camera stuff and I wish it had hip pockets. Other than that it was a great pack.

Does it keep your stuff inside dry and would you consider it durable? Thanks for what you have provided so far. I don't need to carry much at all so I think a small pack such as the TC1500 would be perfect.

I used the badlands treestand pack last year. Seems very durable. I didn't use anywhere near all the storage though. It has the fold out pocket that turns into somewhat of a shelf that is pretty cool. Might be a little overkill if you're hunting a couple hours at a time and close to home or the vehicle. For long hunts or all day sits, it can be a great pack. Plenty of separate pockets, and plenty of room in the main pocket for extra clothes or whatever.

This is great feedback. With a new kid due tomorrow I'm not sure how many days I will be pulling all day sits so its hard to determine if its going to be too big or not. I will say that last year the few all day sits I did go on I wish I had more room. Always need more room for extra layers, gloves, hats and stuff for later season. The foldout shelf does sound really convenient though.

I have a Tenzing 2200. I think it is one of the best packs out there. My buddy has had three different Badlands packs and the zippers have gone out on all of them. Badlands' warranty has taken care of him, I just wouldn't want to deal with the aggravation. The best thing about Tenzing is that they have a frame built into them, making heavy loads feel much lighter. Also, the rain cover is a nice feature.

I had the Badlands Treestand for a couple years and it was a great pack. Only reason I sold it is I went with the Ultraday because I didn't need all the room and I loved the way the frame kept the pack directly off my back. I've since moved to the Diablo DOS for longer sits and a Monster Fanny for shorter sits.

You can't go wrong with the TC 1500.Rain cover is a great feature and pack
Is durable. Zippers are workable in the tree. As a former user of a Badlands Super day pack. I find the Tenzig to be perfect. Hope this helped.

I've been using badlands for years. Can't say a bad word about them. Everything they do is top notch and well done, and the warranty they offer is unbeatable.

I wasn't impressed with the quality of the tenzing packs I saw and checked out at ATA, and considering they're owner by the wildgame innovation family now, I think it's easy to see why the quality is lacking.

If it were my money, I'd go badlands. The diablo dos is the perfect Treestand pack imo

A lot of good input in this thread but I have to say there is a lot to think about. I love the internal frame aspect of the tenzing but the warranty on the badlands is extremely tempting. Gonna take a few more days to decide.

Even for a day hunt, meaning I stay in the stand from dark to dark, my tenzing 2220 seems small. I only bring a lunch, binoculars, rattling antlers and my calls. Its mostly due to the design of the pack but with that said, I do like it.

I have a tenzing 2200 and think it's a great pack. Tenzing gets a lot of hate for being owned by Plano Synergy but whatever - they're still making great products with features hunters are looking for.

I've had my tz2200 for 5 years now. The exterior is still in excellent condition and I have had no issues with anything breaking, fraying, or ripping. Though after repeated washes some of the material on the interior is starting to peel/delaminate. I have used the rain fly and it works great.

Both packs are made in china. I am sure badlands makes a great pack too, so it's really a matter of which company you want to give your business too.

Really like my tc1500 but I got it for $84 at gander mountain on sale. There's plenty of room for all my hunting gear and plenty of attachment points for bug stuff on the outside of the pack. I could probably attach a stand and sticks to it if I wanted.
