Was wondering where to go for the best bow wrist sling.
Some searches have led me to some old posts where the recommendations were Straight'N Arrow or Ridgerunner....Are there any other places to look that are better, or are there better custom builders here on AT?

Thanks

I kinda like the one I made out of braided deer hide from a deer I harvested a couple of years ago... My accuracy has improved imperceptibly since I started using it. ;-)

They help quite a bit. Most shooters I see without one actually hold their bow when they shoot or grab the bow at the shot. The sling will keep the bow from falling to the ground when the hand is too loose.

the one a buddy makes for you for free.

i have all mine from straight n arrow. they are very good quality...as far as styles, i have 4 different styles and like them all as well as the others. if you know how to do the braids with paracord you can easily make them yourself it really isnt hard, i just dont have the patience to learn yet another skill so i bought mine ha.

I would get some rock climbing rope and then cut it to a nice length, then take a black zip tie and using the holes right below the grip on your riser use the zip tie to clamp down the rope. This actually works way better than the front mount methods using the stab hole on front.

Just ordered one from Paracord Hut. He made it the same day and shipped it too. And he posts it on his Twitter so you can see it while you're waiting for it to hit your mailbox. $14 shipped.

AEP Archery makes my favorite slings.
Extremely rugged, adjustable, and good looking ! :thumbs_up

Over the years I have made a ton of slings using dog collars and leashes. Cut them to length, melt holes in them using a 5/16" bolt and attach them up. As you can see in one of the pics I used some of the left over material to make a no-fire release for when I check for draw length etc. One nice thing about building your own is that you have a large selection of colors and designs that will compliment nearly any bow.
