Pig was turning like crazy when the arrow hit; there's no way a light arrow would have passed through.
Wasnt talking about that one or the first one, but the broadside shot I would have expected a passthrough. That still goes to show though, you hit hard bone and it will stop an arrow. The first and third shot hit spine and the arrow stopped immediately.

Hogs are pretty easy to do that on. If you shoot level with the top of the shoulder, it will hit spine. I shot a small hog friday that hit about half way up the shoulder area..but I hit the crease..and hit apine and dropped him. I was shooting an ebay hypo and the vanes were holding it from passing through at about 18 yards.

I will continue to use the stay sharp over my KME broad sharpener any day of the week.
The SS has gotten all blades crazy sharp from rage, Magnus, anarchy, VPA and cutthroats.

So simple and cost effect to get a blade wicked sharp.

I'm happy with mine that's for sure.

You can see lot of folks reply with a frothy hate for RF just because he likes heavy arrows.....the bias is painfully obvious on this thread.........lol. I don't agree you "need" to shoot arrows that heavy BUT you can't deny the fact it does offer better penetration IF that's the goal.

It's like Trump derangement syndrome.........for archery.

100%

It’s the same as - prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

Everyone loves a perfect broadside shot at 25 yards. But what about the 30 yard hard quartering to on a hunt of a lifetime?

As an engineer I love the RF. It’s basic physics - heavier arrows are harder to stop - momentum. A stiff arrow will also penetrate better than a softer arrow. Try jamming a pencil through a hard medium and then try jamming a straw through. Same thing.

Not everyone needs to shoot 600 arrows to shoot whitetail. But listen to his message - higher FOC , higher arrow weight and arrow integrity have their advantages to penetrate.

Hes obnoxious and uses the same vocabulary that my 4 year son uses ,why would anyone listen to that from a grown adult.

This video in particular is excellent at explaining the advantage of shooting a heavier setup. Both Troy and Aaron chime in a lot about their experiences. Aaron has edited more shot video on big bucks than the vast majority of us in 10 lifetimes. Most of that editing was of shots with fast bow, light arrow setups.

I love it.

An archery forum (aka a bunch of ********) slamming each other how to have proper grammar trying to prove their point on the subject by whoever’s grammar is crappier [emoji1787]

Welcome to AT!!

I agree, but you need to remember the audience.

Teaching your kids? At the workplace?

Or arguing with a bunch of ********? haha
It was a crappy attempt at some Friday afternoon ready to leave work, humor lol. Big fail on my part.
