How are you attaching sticks, packs, bags and clothes to your pack in out treestand?

Also how are you attaching the upright to the platform so it is travels quietly?

Post set up pics.

I am using a shock cord to secure the upright and two stand/stick straps for the loadout. Will post pics this evening.

I just came up with a system for this. I can securely attach a treestand and a set of sticks to my backpack in ~20 seconds. Takes less than 10 seconds to remove from pack.

By strapping the stand to the pack instead of pack to stand, it's still very comfortable. I'll also post pics tonight.

On my hang on, I strap my tool bucket pack frame to the platform and use the lone wolf stick quiver to attach my sticks. The thing I like about the quiver is that I can also snap a hooyman saw into it and still carry four sticks, by laying one stick on top of my stick with strap attachment and them fastening them all together and having the hooyman in the fourth stick quiver slot. I think this is going to be the ticket to scouting with my stand on my back and being able to knock down a few limbs to clear a shooting lane while creating minimal disturbance if I'm set up close to a suspected buck bed.

Once I have them secured, I strap the pack part of tool bucket, or a game plan gear leech for short hunts, using the attached lashing straps over the stand and sticks. I can store clothes in and strap clothes to the pack, depending on what outer layers I pack in.

Once I get to the tree, I detach the pack from the stand. There are two lashing straps on the top of the pack to which I strap my bow. I climb with all my sticks hung from paracord loops I tied to my safety harness with my stand on my back and pull up rope tied to harness. I use a paracord loop tied to my batwing and the ez-hang hook strap to place stand on tree then get my top strap around tree and cam lock it. I move the ez hang strap up the tree so I have a hanger for my pack.

I go up in one trip and then pull up my bow and pack.

like this, then I wrap the fanny pack around the stand and pull the buckle tight...Coat and bibs get bungee'd to the top and sit on the fanny pack

I use thirdhand stabilizer straps for this, I set a pack in the treestand and sandwich it with the straps, won't go anywhere.......that's for my climber, can't imagine they wouldn't work for your set up

I do mine a bit differently than I've seen most. I have a lone wolf assault and 4 LW sticks. I use one of the stand straps to keep the seat post tight to the platform as well as the sticks to the stand, I also wrap contact points with black athletic tape or moleskin to make sure even if they do move they don't make noise. Then I add 2 of the 18" Niteize rubber gear ties to really cinch everything down. The gear ties are great. I have set of thin backpack straps on the stand, I set the pack down and then the stand like in the picture below and loop the stand straps over top of the backpack straps, then just put them both on together. It rides very comfortably this way, I've been doing it this way on out of state hunts for years. I think the fact that the assault stand is smaller makes it a bit easier. The pack is a sitka tool box but I 've done it the same way with multiple packs including lumbar packs like a tenzing 1250

Ok I've wanted to ask this but never have..for all you guys carrying the loc on and 4/5 sticks is that not heavier than a climber?? I got a summit open shot Had for a few yrs but I think it weighs about 14 or 15lb...I carry it everywhere with a fanny pack that has back pack straps I like this pack because I can wear my pack and not have to strap it to my stand and my stand can still ride on my back cause the fanny pack sits lower down cause of the back pack straps it can't fall off...I used to hate tying a backpack to a climber

Ridge runner there is basically no need for us to use a lock on and sticks in the Southeast. We have tons of climbable trees in most areas. I have a hang on and sticks but rarely use it because it's a pain in the butt even though I'm good at it. I would rather have the comfort and portability of a climber hunting public land in the south all day. Most of the guys using the hanging and hunt method are in the Midwest I would suspect where the trees or more like overgrown shrubs[emoji12]

Climbers can be useful but I can get into pretty much any tree, much quieter in about the same amount of time with my stand/stick set up than a climber. If I need to get down at some point during the day, I can do it quickly and quietly. If its a good spot that I want to come back to later during the same trip, I can leave the sticks up (I have 2 sets) and take the stand down and come back to that spot later and just have to set the stand. A few pounds is definitely worth the sacrifice for the versatility and stealth that I get with this set up.

What seat do you have?

my weight comes out to 38-40 lbs fully loaded with heavy coat/bibs, less when its warmer by a few pounds ...I'll walk in to some locations that are 1 1/4+ miles .... some are only 1/4 mile or so ..... its what I do to be consistently successful, you have to be in shape to do what I do ... ... I can go up trees with my set up that are 30" or more in diameter, which opens up waaaaaaaaay more locations than guys with climbers ever could get in to ...

I just use the compression straps on the outside of my pack when I'm using my climber. (Extremely light weight)

I have actually packed out an entire deer with the stand on the outside like this.

If I'm using sticks and a hangon I put the sticks in the pack and strap the stand on the outside with the compression straps. I can take 4 sticks and the stand like this, but it's a pain.

I have 7 year oldeberlestock blue widow.

Lone Wolf Assault. Pack the sticks in a line with my fanny pack on one side ( holds small supplies and my harness) and my scentlok dry bag on the other side with my exterior clothes. Rock solid and silent with a bungee strap. Plastic handles with mole felt on them.

I've been in trees no climber would ever get into. On the move public land setup.

I use a LW assault climber with a sit and climb top.I don't use a pack.Instead I have a Cabelas bowhunter vast that I simply pack in just what I need,knife/saw combo, headlamp, drag rope, rangfinder, water, candy bars. The treestand weighs about 16lbs and the vest only weighs a couple more.

I get that I guess..I do use loc ons and a lot of them just usually pre hung one and I do carry one in sometimes and hang it and hunt it ..I just can't imagine having to fool with all that every time out but hey that's just me..around here I can get in about any tree I want with my summit and a handsaw...but yea out mid west or something I can see having to use loc ons lots of places..I'm fortunate I do hunt plenty of big timber..

I've done both. The stand and sticks doesn't take any longer and isn't any more to mess with than the climber

Molle system to carry stand and lashing straps to hold sticks and pack solidly too stand. Bungee cords to hold sticks together. Everything rides tight and quiet. The lashing straps are attached to the stand and can be used to tie up the molle system once the stand is hung if so desired.
