add weight were it is wanted.helping to balance or hold steady. create a consistant motion of the bow after the shot. making better follow through. taking vibration out. taking noise out. cosmetics. kickstand.



better question. why wouldnt you shoot one IF you know it could help you.

do this easy test: put a 30-40" stab on your bow and shoot, then take it off and shoot again: -question answered.

The purpose of a stab is to better balance a bow. The more balanced it is the better it is. I have my bows set up so that when I hold them out they stay parallel to the ground. A longer stab or target stab is better for left and rights. The added benefit of being able to rest the tip on the ground is a plus. It takes more effort to swing a long stab to the left and right than it does a short one. Pick up one of each and try it.
